Little Flower Catholic Church

Letter from the Pastor

Welcome to Little Flower Parish.

We’re entering the season of Lent. The Ash Wednesday
Mass schedule can be found on the following page along with
the fasting guidelines for that day and Fridays during the season.
Of course, throughout Lent we will have Stations of the Cross
on Fridays after the 5:30pm Mass. I have just a few suggestions
for you to consider during Lent: Attend daily Mass, Stations of
the Cross, RCIA, Catholic Round Table, Soul Food and/or 33
Days to Merciful Love for faith enrichment. “33 Days to
Merciful Love” is a do-it-yourself retreat in preparation for
Consecration to Divine Mercy. The path you travel will be with
our Little Saint, Therese. RCIA, Catholic Round Table and Soul
Food are great sources of knowledge of our faith.
Thank you to all for your participation in the Taste of
Little Flower. We had a great turn out and the food was
delicious. There is fierce competition to see who creates the
best dish. No prize is involved other than bragging rights that
you are the ‘best cook’ in the parish.
Coming up is our biggest fundraiser, Leprechauns of the
Loop, on March 16th. The money raised from this will help pay
for the roof needed on the Office Building. The patches could
not longer be sufficiently patched so a new one is being
installed. Tickets are available now. We generally sell out so
hurry in for your ticket.
The Catholic Charities Appeal is in full swing and we are
well on the way toward our goal. Your support helps many
causes so please turn in your pledges. Thank you for your
support. Thank you to our in-house speakers, David LeNoir and
Larry Hyland for your time and talent. You do a wonderful job.
Please pray for our RCIA class. This lovely group will be a
great addition to our parish family. We hope they will join us at
Easter. See you Mass!
